Description
The need for environmentally sustainable and equitable development is one of the most serious issues facing the contemporary world. The Bachelor of Development Studies/Bachelor of Global Indigenous Studies provides opportunities to study the Indigenous identity, culture and knowledges, as well as the causes and consequences of unequal development, and assess policy options for a more equitable and sustainable future. Drawing upon the expertise of the Faculty of Science and The Wollotuka Institute (widely regarded as a national leader in Indigenous education), the Bachelor of Development Studies/Bachelor of Global Indigenous Studies offers students an interdisciplinary understanding of uneven development, decolonisation, identity cultures, and representation, that will enable students to be active global citizens ready to create innovative solutions to pressing issues in local, regional, national and international contexts.
