What does the Committee do?
Responsibilities of the Finance and Infrastructure Committee are outlined in full within the Finance and Infrastructure Committee Charter.
The key areas of focus include:
- financial and investment performance, strategic commercial activities and financial sustainability
- evaluate borrowings by the University and its controlled entities
- integrity of the financial statements, accounting and financial reporting processes
- disclosure controls, procedures and internal controls over financial reporting
- external audit function
- financial risk across the University, including Controlled Entities
- operating cost performance
- tuition fees, non-tuition fees and student accommodation fees and make recommendations to the Council in relation to proposals for increases above delegated limits
- financial delegations
- the Annual Budget
