What does the Committee do?

Responsibilities of the Finance and Infrastructure Committee are outlined in full within the Finance and Infrastructure Committee Charter.

The key areas of focus include:

• financial and investment performance, strategic commercial activities and financial sustainability
• evaluate borrowings by the University and its controlled entities
• integrity of the financial statements, accounting and financial reporting processes
• disclosure controls, procedures and internal controls over financial reporting
• external audit function
• financial risk across the University, including Controlled Entities
• operating cost performance
• tuition fees, non-tuition fees and student accommodation fees and make recommendations to the Council in relation to proposals for increases above delegated limits
• financial delegations
• the Annual Budget
