Enterprise Architecture Services (EA) help the University of Newcastle achieve its strategic objectives by supporting decision-making in relation to the use of technology assets and resources.

This can be done through assistance with strategic planning, strengthening security or the enablement of digital innovation.

Strategy Alignment

Support for corporate planning and strategic delivery by aligning technology, applications and business services to the University's strategic goals and priorities.

Blueprint Management

Documenting the current and future states of the enterprise architecture from the viewpoint of various stakeholders, producing views that assist business and IT stakeholders' planning and operational activities.

Roadmap Management

Creating and maintaining a cohesive set of plans to realise the desired state of the enterprise architecture, including the required transformational initiatives and any identified cross-initiative dependencies.

Portfolio Advisory

Engaging with business stakeholders to ensure alignment of priorities, initiatives and technology-related decisions to the desired future state of the architecture.

Solution Architecture Delivery Management

Defining, maintaining and enforcing the standards, patterns, methods and practices used when architecting solutions to ensure that architecture  deliverables and artefacts are consistent and adhere to the EA framework.

Architecture Governance

Monitoring, evaluating and directing business and technology investments to ensure technology resources are used effectively and efficiently, and that IT risks are managed appropriately.
