Accessing our network
Our IT network allows you to connect to the internet and access our many network-based resources. The network operates across the Newcastle (Callaghan), City precinct, Central Coast (Ourimbah) and Sydney locations.
You can access the network by logging on using your Uni-ID and password.
Types of access
Wireless network
Use your wireless enabled device like a laptop, tablet or smartphone to connect to the UON network.
Wired network
Connect your desk computer or laptop to a network outlet and connect to our wired network.
eduroam
Access the wireless network at participating Universities in Australia and overseas.

Access to the Internet is through Australia's academic and research network, AARNET, and is bound by AARNET's Access Policy and the University's Computing and Information Services policies.
