Education

Within the Global Sport and Movement Collaborative there is the opportunity to study at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Our expertise is broad, and includes the disciplines of teaching, exercise and sport science, business, psychology, rehabilitation and nutrition.

We are ranked in 14th in the world for Good Health and Wellbeing (THE Impact Rankings, 2026).

Degrees

Nurture and empower students at a critical period of their development, instilling a love of sport and movement as a Health and Physical Education teacher.

Use your skills to work across health settings, helping athletes overcome complex clinical problems and communities participate in the activities of everyday life.

As demand for sustainable and healthy choices grows, combine practical learning with the latest evidence to contribute to global wellbeing.

Elite Athletes

As a member of the Elite Athlete Education Network (EAEN), The University is committed to supporting elite student athletes to achieve academic and sporting excellence. We provide elite student athletes with access to support staff who can assist them with managing study commitments, as well as sport and academic scholarships, access to premier sporting facilities and opportunities to represent the University in sport.

Scholarships

Each year, more than $4 million in scholarships are awarded to students across a range of criteria, including sporting excellence, equity and academic achievement. If you are a current student, or are planning to study with us, we encourage you to apply for all scholarships you meet the criteria for.

Pathways

We offer Pathway programs including Open Foundation and Yapug that help you develop the skills needed to gain direct entry to undergraduate study.

Additionally, we also offer free pathway programs for athletes, including Newcastle Knights players. With dedicated support, athletes are able to balance their sporting and work commitments while undertaking study that provides entry into undergraduate programs.
