North China Electric Power University PhD Tuition Fee Scholarships

For student of the North China Electric Power University applying to the University of Newcastle, Australia

The University of Newcastle, Australia and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) are collaborating to offer tuition fee scholarships to outstanding PhD candidates from China through the North China Electric Power University.

This initiative highlights the close relationship between the North China Electric Power University and the University of Newcastle and underpins a memorandum of understanding signed as a  partnership agreement between our two institutions. It reinforces the depth of the University of Newcastle's commitment to enhancing research opportunities for high calibre students at the North China Electric Power University and knowledge exchange between our students here in Newcastle.

Under this unique collaboration, candidates from the North China Electric Power University are welcome to apply for places as PhD candidates and will be considered for scholarships that include the costs of:

- All tuition and research fees
- An annual living allowance (set by the CSC)
- Return airfare from China to Australia
- Visa fees plus Overseas Student Health Cover for the duration of the course for up to four years (this is included in the CSC living allowance.

Successful candidates are provided with a dedicated workspace and a University laptop computer with a standard suite of software.

Candidates can apply for annual funding of AUD $1500 for research related activities, including conference attendance or other activities related to improving their research outcomes.
