Registering with AccessAbility is an easy process. Early registration gives you the best opportunity to secure the adjustments you need at the start of your studies.

Am I eligible to register with AccessAbility?
You may be eligible to register with AccessAbility if you are a:
- student with a disability
- student with a health condition (including mental health conditions)
- student with a temporary injury or health condition
- neurodivergent student
- primary carer of a person with a disability (e.g. child, partner, or parent)

When should I register with AccessAbility?
You can register with AccessAbility at any time throughout your degree.
Applying early helps us put your adjustments and support in place before classes and assessments begin. You can apply before starting your program so you can commence university with AccessAbility support from the beginning.

Register with AccessAbility - Step by step guide
You can complete the registration form online, download a copy of the form, or collect it from your AccessAbility office.
If you require support to complete your registration form, please don't hesitate to contact us.
You can provide medical documentation in one of two ways:
- Use the Health Practitioner Form, or
- Send us existing documentation outlining your disability or health condition.
How to submit documentation:
- Upload it via the AccessAbility Registration Form
- Email it to us: AccessAbility@newcastle.edu.au
- Hand in the Health Practitioner Form (PDF) at the AccessAbility office
- Or share the Health Practitioner Form link directly with your health practitioner

Once your registration form and medical documentation are submitted, you will be contacted to arrange a meeting with an AccessAbility Advisor.
