Gender and sexuality support
At the University of Newcastle, we recognise it’s our differences that makes us a strong, fun and vibrant community. We celebrate our gender and sexual diversity with events such as Pride Week and Wear It Purple Day, which are spearheaded by student groups including the Queer Collective which is part of the University of Newcastle Students’ Association (UNSA).
You always have the right to express who you are and feel comfortable and safe within your sexuality.

If you are questioning or experiencing difficulty with your sexuality there are services both on campus and in the community that provide non-judgmental and confidential support including:
- Counselling
