AccessAbility can provide support whether your condition is permanent, fluctuating or temporary. We also offer support if you are the primary carer of someone with a disability or medical condition.

Who is eligible for disability support?

The definition of ‘disability’ under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 is broad and includes physical, intellectual, psychiatric, sensory, neurological and learning disabilities.

Students with a disability or medical condition, as well as full-time carers, can access support systems via AccessAbility.

  • Each request for support is assessed on an individual basis. Access to some services can take up to four weeks ­– so contact us as early as possible.
  • After meeting with an Accessibility Advisor, we will recommend adjustments and/or support for you based on your needs and the medical documentation you have provided.
