When you are free of anxiety, stress and worry you are able to better apply yourself to your study. Sometimes university life can be difficult with the stress of a new environment and the pressures of assignments and exams.
The University of Newcastle Student Mental Health and Well Being Strategy 2018-2022 has been finalised.
We provide the following services and resources to help you manage your mental health:
Students can take advantage of a free and confidential counselling service to discuss any issue. Counselling is provided by professionally trained psychologists and social workers.
The campus care program provides information, advice and support in managing inappropriate, concerning or threatening behaviours.
Your first year guide is a comprehensive tool to help students survive their first year at university.
The desk is a free online program giving students strategies and skills for success and wellbeing during their time at university.
