Newcastle (Callaghan Campus)

There are three KU Children's Services childcare centres operating on the University's Callaghan campus:

KU Kintaiba Child Care Centre
KU Kooinda Work Based Child Care Centre
KU Wonnayba Child Care Centre

KU Kooinda Work Based Child Care Centre primarily provides a service to the children of University staff and students. KU Kintaiba Child Care Centre and KU Wonnayba Child Care Centre are community-based centres open to the general public as well as University staff and students.

Each centre provides high quality, professional care, ideally located in a tranquil bushland setting.

KU Kintaiba Child Care Centre

KU Kintaiba Child Care Centre operates for 48 weeks of the year (closes for the Christmas period) and is open 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). This service caters for a maximum of 58 children.

Fees The 2010 daily fee is $75 for children aged birth to 2 years, $72 for children aged 2 to 3 years and $70 for children aged 3 to under 6 years. Meals are provided.

KU Kooinda Work Based Child Care Centre

KU Kooinda Work Based Child Care Centre operates for 50 weeks of the year and is open Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) from 7:45am to 6:15pm. This service caters for a maximum of 46 children.

Fees The 2010 daily fee is $75.00. Meals are provided.

KU Wonnayba Child Care Centre

KU Wonnayba Child Care Centre operates for 48 weeks of the year (closes for the Christmas period) and is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm (excluding public holidays). This service caters for a maximum of 46 children.

Central Coast (Ourimbah Campus)

KU Children's Services

KU Children's Services has been providing excellence in childcare for over 100 years. KU Ourimbah Preschool & Children's Centre is located on the University of Newcastle's Central Coast campus.

KU Ourimbah Pre-School and Children's Centre operates for 50 weeks of the year and is open Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) from 7:00am to 6:00pm. This service caters for a maximum of 58 children.

The 2010 daily fees are:

0-2 years $74
2-3 years $69
3-6 years $69

Meals are provided.
