The University Gallery, Senta Taft Hendry Museum and Watt Space Gallery
Senta Taft Hendry Museum
The Senta Taft Hendry Museum is a dedicated knowledge keeping place. Located underneath the University Gallery, the space houses a culturally significant and diverse collection of items from Oceania. It is also used as a space for events and workshops with artists, University students, schools, and the wider University community.
The Museum was established in 2011 to house the donated collection of Senta Taft Hendry, which is now part of the University’s Art Collection. Today, the Museum displays a selection from this collection, as well as other items from the Art Collection, half of which is comprised of First Nations art and cultural objects.
