Safer sexual health
To support your safer sexual health the University of Newcastle provides free safe sexual health resources and information including:
- latex condoms
- water-based lubricant
- Information on a range of excellent websites and referral services (see below)
- Free HIV test kit via MyTest vending machine NuSpace Ground Floor
These resources are free and available at the following locations:
- Condom dispenser all gender unisex toilet, NuSpace, near library - Level 1;
- Condom dispenser outside University Health Service, Level 1, Student Services Building, Callaghan;
- Receptacle to the left of the Hub, Level 2, Student Services Building Callaghan;
- Condom dispenser all gender unisex toilet, Auchmuty Library, Room L306, Callaghan;
- Condom dispenser University Health Service, Student Services, Ourimbah;
- Holden Street Clinic, Gosford;
- Sexual health clinics listed on this website;
- UNSA buildings.
If you think you have an STI, get checked out by a doctor. If an STI is left unchecked the problem can get worse. STIs can be effectively treated and those that can't be cured can be managed - reducing or preventing transmision - with treatment.
