Video summary
The change from the asset map to the asset finder is one of the biggest changes for web editors who are familiar with the Squiz Matrix 5 interface.
For Squiz Matrix 5, the ‘asset finder’ is your view into the website and all the assets you have access to.
The asset finder has been replaced with the ‘asset map’ in Squiz Matrix 6, often referred to as a ‘tree’. The tree sits on the left-hand side of the interface and can be expanded and collapsed to navigate by clicking the arrows, or double-clicking.
Right-click on an asset to interact with it. This will display a range of options, such as ‘details’, ‘content’ and ‘metadata’. Selecting them will take you to the screen of the asset.
These videos were created to support the web publishing community with the transition to Squiz Matrix 6, and so contain depictions of the Squiz Matrix 5 interface, which is no longer used.
