Video summary
In Matrix 5, the primary editing experience was using the Edit+ interface. This has been removed in Matrix 6. It’s been replaced with the Matrix 6 admin interface which is a more powerful interface, and a less restricted environment like Matrix 5.
A lot of the features that made Matrix 5 Edit+ easy to use have been moved into the Matrix 6 Admin interface which gives you a familiar environment for a lot of things. There are some things that are different.
There are two primary terminology changes, from
- ‘container’ to ‘component’, and
- ‘Log out’ to ‘Sign out’
These videos were created to support the web publishing community with the transition to Squiz Matrix 6, and so contain depictions of the Squiz Matrix 5 interface, which is no longer used.
