Do's and Don'ts
DO
- Include information about what has been done particularly well in a course
- Reflect on your own biases. Check out the Harvard Implicit Bias tests to gain further insight into your unconscious attitudes and beliefs.
- Be concise
- Be factual and provide examples or detailed descriptions on why a certain aspect of either a course or teacher did not work and suggest what they could do/offer differently.
- Be respectful
- Be balanced in your feedback. Read the Compliment Sandwich to find out how to best execute this.
DON'T
- Make demands that someone should be fired/ removed from a course etc. Everyone deserves the opportunity to learn from feedback and improve their performance.
- Use any type of emoji
- Swear
- Use rude language. Derogatory comments or criticisms will be removed and reported.
- Use CAPITAL LETTERS
