Feedback Matters
Giving and receiving feedback is a vital part of your student experience.
Your response matters. If only 10% of students respond to a survey, those 10% determine the academic experience for 100% of students.
This is why it is so important to understand the value in sharing your experiences in the form of feedback! The ability to give feedback is an important skill that you will use throughout your time at uni as well as carry with you out into the workforce after graduating.
Surveys are one of the best ways to voice your opinion to the university and encourage change. For the university to improve, your feedback is vital in helping us to understand what areas we need to focus on. You can access surveys through your NUmail (studentmail) or by clicking on the link in the section below.
You can do your part to ensure that your feedback is effective by offering observations, not evaluations.
Feedback is meant to benefit the recipient. Be constructive, not personal and present your feedback in a manner that is helpful, clear, and most importantly, actionable.
How to give great feedback
The University of Newcastle acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands within our footprint areas: Awabakal, Darkinjung, Biripai, Worimi, Wonnarua, and Eora Nations. We also pay respect to the wisdom of our Elders past and present.
