Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator
At the University of Newcastle, we value and celebrate diversity in our student and staff populations.
We believe it is important to provide an inclusive environment for all students and staff regardless of beliefs; language spoken; religion; cultural background; refugee experience; sexuality, gender identity, and/or se characteristics (LGBTIQA+); financial challenges, accessibility needs or age.
There are a number of policies and guidelines that have been developed by the University to ensure our practices are inclusive and non-discriminatory.
The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator is available for:
- consultation to develop and implement equity and diversity strategies throughout the University;
- support student initiatives to promote inclusion across the University;
- a first point of contact for advice on where to go for Student Support within the University, and in the broader community.
