Industry Hall of Fame
The Industry Hall of Fame recognises outstanding contributions by organisations that have partnered with the University of Newcastle to support the professional preparation of students and contribute to the growth and development of the region. Inducted organisations will have demonstrated a deep commitment to student employability, consistently supporting career-ready placement opportunities and contributing to the professional growth of students over time.
Selection Criteria
The Industry Hall of Fame celebrates organisations that have made a lasting and transformative impact through their partnership with the University of Newcastle.
Organisations may be inducted into the Industry Hall of Fame if they have:
- Maintained a partnership with the University for a minimum of three consecutive years, demonstrating a sustained commitment to supporting the professional growth of students.
 - Made a significant contribution to the professional preparation of students by hosting them for career-ready placement activities. This may include internships, clinicals, practicums, or field placements where students engaged in meaningful tasks in a workplace setting.
 - Played a key role in enhancing placement programs, creating valuable and impactful learning opportunities for students.
 
Multiple organisations may be inducted into the Hall of Fame in any given year.
Who can be nominated?
Nominees must:
- Be a business, industry, or community partner of the University of Newcastle that has maintained a partnership for a minimum of three consecutive years.
 - Not already be in the Industry Hall of Fame.
 
Important notes on eligibility:
- While this award recognises long-standing partnerships, organisations that have partnered with the University for less than three years may be eligible for the New Partner in Employability Award.
 
Who can nominate?
Nominations for the Industry Hall of Fame can be submitted by:
- Business, industry, or community partners. Self-nominations are welcome.
 - University staff members.
 - Students who are currently enrolled at the University or who graduated in 2025.
