Student Entrepreneur of the Year
This award recognises a student who has demonstrated entrepreneurial initiative through a technological, social, or creative venture. Recipients will have shown the ability to think differently, introduce new concepts, and create measurable impact in the areas of enterprise and innovation.
Selection criteria
This award celebrates entrepreneurial spirit and recognises outstanding performance in an entrepreneurial activity that has been initiated or successfully managed by a student. Examples of eligible achievements include:
- Developing an innovative product, service, or business model.
- Building a customer base and establishing a sustainable business.
- Achieving environmental, social, or economic impact through entrepreneurial activity.
- Demonstrating exceptional achievements in the entrepreneurial space.
- Participating in the Integrated Innovation Network (I2N) ecosystem.
- Exhibiting a strong entrepreneurial mindset by translating a vision into reality, embracing risk, engaging others, and thriving in uncertain or evolving environments.
A single recipient will be selected for this award.
Who can be nominated?
Nominees must:
- Be a current student or a recent graduate who completed their studies in 2025.
- Not have previously received the Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Who can nominate?
Nominations for this award can be submitted by:
- Business, industry, or community partners, including workplace supervisors.
- University staff members.
- Students who are currently enrolled at the University or who graduated in 2025. Self-nominations are welcome.
