University Secretary
The University Secretary serves as the University’s most senior advisor on governance and associated administrative, compliance and regulatory matters.
The University Secretary reports to the Chancellor and is accountable to the Council on all governance matters.
The University Secretary provides high level advice and strategic support to the Chancellor. They work closely with the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor to maintain strong and productive relationships between Council and University’s senior management, and provides professional secretariat support services.
The University of Newcastle acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands within our footprint areas: Awabakal, Darkinjung, Biripai, Worimi, Wonnarua, and Eora Nations. We also pay respect to the wisdom of our Elders past and present.
