The University of Newcastle, Australia

Employment affected by COVID-19?

We have introduced a number of short courses for people whose employment has been affected by COVID-19. The courses can help you build new skills and could set you on a path to employment and or further study.

The courses were announced as part of the government’s higher education relief package and fees are heavily subsidised for Australian residents

All the courses are fully online – meaning you have the flexibility to learn from the comfort and safety of your home.

There are limited or no prior qualifications needed for entry into some of these courses and when you finish you may be eligible to apply for credit into selected undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

Current students of the University of Newcastle are ineligible for admission to any of the Short Courses.

The short courses provide a stepping stone and academic credit into more formal university study.

If you’re ready to start a full degree visit our Undergraduate and Postgraduate pages to find the degree for you.

If you want to start a full degree and are looking for a little extra support, our Pathway programs are here to help. We offer a range of free programs designed to help you enter an undergraduate degree.

Explore our courses below and apply today.
