The Clinical Toxicology Research Group focuses on improving understanding of poisoning and envenoming in patients and undertaking studies to determine the effectiveness of antidotes and antivenoms in treatment of these conditions.
Current projects range from single centre trials to multicentre studies and international programs. A key strategic aim of the group is to promote collaborative clinical research within Australia and overseas to increase understanding of poisons and toxins and to translate the resulting evidence into clinical practice and public health interventions.
