The Asia Pacific Research Centre (APRC) has been established within the College of Human and Social Futures to play a leading role at the University of Newcastle, Australia, to pursue partnerships, engagement, and impact in the Asia Pacific region.
The APRC aims to enhance and enrich disciplinary strengths and highlight multidisciplinary research in the disciplines of Business, Law, Creative Industries, Education, and Humanities and Social Sciences. It will focus on understanding and addressing the contemporary issues facing the Asia-Pacific region. We shall promote impactful collaborative research amongst scholars and experts across institutions, industry, and government.
The APRC is committed to building a collaborative network of scholars and experts to pursue multidisciplinary research that embraces culturally responsive and respectful principles from a regional perspective to advance scholarship aimed at improving the well-being of society, create and promote a stronger inclusive community and transformative and innovative economies, which is vital for achieving sustainable future in the Asia-Pacific Region.
Across our schools, the College is uniquely situated to provide world-class teaching, research, and impact to the regions we serve nationally and around the world.
