- Professor Graham Goodwin has been recognised as an Officer of the Order of Australia
- Dr Barry Inglis has been recognised as an Office of the Order of Australia
- Professor Margaret Alston appointed a Member of the Order of Australia
- Mr Peter Gogarty received the Medal of the Order of Australia
- The University of Newcastle Association of Pharmacy Students (UoNAPS) won Best Branch at the NAPSA Congress 2021 (The National Australian Pharmacy Students' Association.
