Shuttle
NUspace Shuttle*
The NUspace shuttle is a free inter-campus service that runs Monday to Friday from 7:10am to 10:15pm between Callaghan and Newcastle City campuses. The shuttle stops at University House before travelling west, stopping at Marketown and Donald St, Hamilton, and returning to Callaghan.
From 11th May, the shuttle will no longer stop at the Q building.
To use the shuttle, all you need to do is tap your student or staff card at the reader when getting on the bus. Wi-Fi is also available for you to use while travelling. The shuttle wifi username is "UON Shuttle wifi" - no password is required.
Use the myUni app
There are a couple of ways to find information about accessing myUni app as a student or as a staff member. Your myUni app has all timetables, information, tracking and all other university shuttle services in one convenient place. You can also use the Getting Around tile to open up maps to get you where you need to go once you are on campus.
If you are a staff member requesting visitor access to the NUspace shuttle, please complete a Shuttle request via the ServiceNow Parking and Transport form.
Operation Schedule and Timetables
The shuttle service runs during semester on a 30-minute frequency. During semester break the shuttle changes to an hourly service. To see the current timetable, click on the timetable icon in the myUni app shuttle view.

myUni App
Staff and students can download the myUni app to find all the information you need about the University of Newcastle's shuttle services. This includes live tracking, pick up and drop off points, maps and timetables.
The myUni: Official mobile app is available on iOS and Android from the app stores OR access via a web browser at myUni.newcastle.edu.au
Important information - NUspace Shuttle
- Unless specified all arrival times are estimated. Whilst all efforts have been made travel times may vary depending on traffic conditions. Please arrive ten minutes prior to the departure time to ensure you do not miss your bus service.
- Departures from the Design bus stop and from NUspace are scheduled departure times. When catching the bus from either of these stops you may have a short delay whilst the bus waits for their designated departure time.
- The NUspace Shuttle service operates Monday – Friday only and does not operate on weekends. See the Operations schedule for more information on peak and non-peak periods or refer to the timetable in the myUni app (shuttle tile)
