Parking permits (vPermit)

The University uses a digital parking permit management system.

vPermit allows University of Newcastle staff, students, residents, and other user groups to apply for and manage their parking permit online (eligibility conditions apply). The system uses license plate recognition to authenticate valid parking sessions.

Only one license plate can be active on campus at a time when parking on campus.

Driving a different car to campus?

vPermit gives users flexibility to register and activate different vehicle license plate numbers. It is your responsibility to ensure the vehicle registration you have selected as Active matches the vehicle you are driving to campus that day for your permit to be valid. To switch between registrations, log in to vPermit > My Permits > Manage vehiclesand activate the vehicle you have driven to campus that day.
