The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) supports academic staff and students and in their pursuit of teaching excellence and learning success.

CTL staff work with you at all stages of your career, whether you are new to teaching, a sessional staff member or someone who is interested in further developing your teaching practice.

Workshops and certificate programs

Teaching Award application assistance, Mid-Semester Feedback, Peer Review and Observations can also be provided.Our training can be tailored to the individual or to meet the specific requirements of your course, faculty or school.


Course Design

CTL’s Learning Designers are available for individual teaching consultations, course design reviews, development of assessments and learning objects.

The BOLD lab

Our Blended and Online Learning Design (BOLD) lab will help you plan, design and create innovative online learning. Staff can assist with building user-friendly Blackboard course sites, flipping the classroom, developing teaching resources, and specialised project work such as: video creation.

UONline

The UONline Support team for provide 'just in time' help and training to academics for the teaching and learning technologies available in UoNline.

Learning Development

Learning Advisers work with staff and students to help students learn and write effectively, providing assistance with essay writing, study skills, mathematics and statistics, and English language skills. Offerings include:  self-help resources, workshops, econsults and student consultations.
