UON’s personal accident insurance covers students while engaged in course-related activities.
WHAT IS COVERED
UON’s Personal Accident policy covers:
- Death
- Weekly injury benefit
- Home tutorial benefit
- Injury assistance benefit
- Modification benefit
- Medical expenses related to injury (only those not claimable on Medicare or attracting a Medicare rebate)

HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM
Step One: Notify your supervisor of the event and attend a doctor as necessary (please note, this is NOT a workers compensation claim)
Step Two: Ensure an Incident Report is logged online by a UON staff member
Step Three: Complete the Personal Accident Claim Form
Step Four: Ensure that the Medical Report Page within the claim form is completed by a medical practitioner
Step Five: Provide copies or scans of itemized costs in association with your injury, and completed claim form to Insurance
