How do I pay my SSAF?
You will be notified at the start of each semester via email when your SSAF payment is available in MyHub. This will be separate from your course fees.
Payment options
Australian citizens and permanent humanitarian visa holders (resident in Australia) can:
- pay the full SSAF amount up front
- pay some of the SSAF upfront and get a SA-HELP loan for the remainder; or
- apply for a SA-HELP loan for the full SSAF amount
All other students must pay the SSAF up front by the payment due date.
If you have an SA-HELP loan in place, SSAF cost will be automatically deferred to your tax file.
Find out about refunds of the SSAF in our Student Fees Refund Procedure.
SSAF due dates
SSAF payments are due by census date in your current term of study.
If you are making an upfront payment, census date is the last date you can pay outstanding SSAF amounts. If you have not paid outstanding SSAF amounts by census date you may not be able to enrol, re-enrol, graduate, obtain a transcript or view exam results online.
These are the dates by which you must:
- log in to myHub through myUni to check you are enrolled in the correct courses.
- finalise your arrangements for payment of your student contribution or tuition fee charge and the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF).
If you don't make these arrangements by the census date, you risk having your enrolment cancelled.
