In a complex, changing world, leaders of the future require the ability at a local, national and international level to see the ‘big picture’. Increasingly, employers are seeking individuals who are managers and global-thought leaders with the ability bring together the resources and innovative potential of an organisation to deliver sophisticated, successful international strategies.
The MBA (Global) program develops these critical capabilities through an innovative and rigorous curriculum, expert and highly engaged staff, and an active, problem-based approach to learning that develops confidence and work-readiness.
The MBA (Global) is designed for individuals who are recent graduates in any discipline, who have limited work experience, and who are looking to develop their business leadership and management skills. The MBA (Global) will provide students with an in-depth understanding of business globalisation and its complex effect on stakeholders, societies and economies and develop their global mindset, with the interpersonal skills that allow them to operate across countries, cultures and contexts.
All 16 courses in the MBA (Global) have been developed exclusively for the program. In addition to the 11 core (compulsory) courses, you will also have the opportunity to study elective courses in cutting edge areas of interest, including innovation and entrepreneurship, behavioural economics, change management, and business and climate change.
Your career opportunities are endless with the MBA (Global). You will have the advanced skill set to ensure success, across borders, oceans, and boardrooms around the world. Where you take this qualification is up to you. The course design is integrated with industry engagement and business networking opportunities that expose you to experiences while you study, which could lead to remarkable workplace prospects on graduation.
You’ll be ready to apply your strengthened strategic focus and embed your outstanding business management capabilities into real-world business opportunities in a leadership role in a global corporation located in Australia and beyond. Potential career paths include:
Utilising an active learning approach, content will emphasise linking concepts and theories learnt in the classroom to real-world examples in different contexts, industries and countries. With an international study tour and compulsory organisational internship built into the program, the MBA (Global) will build your practical skill base and knowledge in leadership, communication and problem-solving.
The international study tour enables you to actively learn and engage with academics, students and industry participants from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds building your interpersonal and communication skills.
Through the compulsory internship, you will spend a minimum of 80 hours in a local organisation utilising your coursework knowledge to contribute to the business, building your professional network and work-readiness.
In your second year you may also choose to articulate into a high-profile specialist master program at a University elsewhere, allowing you to receive degrees from two institutions.
