Library MakerSpace
The Library MakerSpaces are safe spaces on campus, providing students with a place to escape the rigours of study and explore, design, experience and build through self-creative and self-directed learning.

CESE MakerSpace
The CESE MakerSpace within the College of Engineering, Science and Environment (CESE) is open to all students to work on projects, collaborate, share ideas, and problem solve.
The space features -
- 3D Printers
- 3D Model Making tools
- Soldering stations
- Electronics testing equipment
- A sewing station
- Compact vacuum former
- Desktop vinyl cutter
- Lockable storage and much more!
The Makerspace is open from 8am - 8pm, Monday to Friday and requires swipe card access.

HCISS City MakerSpaces
The City Makerspaces, consisting of the Print Lab, Prototyping Lab and Textiles Studio, provide commercial-level resources for students and staff within the School of Creative Industries and I2N Members.
The University of Newcastle acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands within our footprint areas: Awabakal, Darkinjung, Biripai, Worimi, Wonnarua, and Eora Nations. We also pay respect to the wisdom of our Elders past and present.
