PASS — Peer Assisted Study Sessions

The Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) program provides undergraduate students with a supportive, peer-led learning environment where they can compare notes, discuss difficult concepts, and develop study skills in a judgement-free space. Led by trained PASS Leaders, current students who have successfully completed the course. The program not only strengthens student’s academic performance but also helps them transition into university life.

In Q1, 2025, the program has run around 157 sessions weekly, including 19 online, engaging 1,289 students in at least one session between Weeks 1–5. Notably, 257 students participated online, contributing to a collective 2,600 hours of study time. The program also provides employment for approximately 60 student leaders per semester, helping them build valuable graduate attributes like leadership, communication, and time management.

Surveys scheduled for Weeks 6–7 and Weeks 11–12 will capture student feedback and measure impact. Overall, PASS plays a key role in improving academic outcomes, building student confidence, and enhancing retention.
