The University of Newcastle is committed to creating a safe and respectful culture on our campuses, in our online spaces and in our wider community.
We believe everyone has a right to live free from sexual assault, sexual harassment, violence, abuse and disrespect. All members of our community have a role to play in creating a culture of respect and helping to change unacceptable behaviour.
Sexual harm
Sexual harm results from behaviour of a sexual nature that causes a person to feel uncomfortable, frightened, distressed, intimidated, or injured (either physically or psychologically).
Sexual harm may be caused by physical, verbal, visual or online interactions and behaviour of a sexual nature that are non-consensual and unwanted. Campus Care manages all reports of sexual harm reported by students to the University. Campus Care will listen to you and help you to find options that are right for you, even if that means doing nothing. You can report incidents of sexual harm to the University via the online forms below or by contacting Campus Care directly.
