Policies and procedures
In January 2026, the University of Newcastle released its new Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence Policy which is publicly available in the Policy Library.
The new policy incorporates best practices for prevention, reporting, and supporting victim-survivors, and is aligned with the Department of Education’s National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence.
The policy will be reviewed regularly. Please address any enquiries to dvca-committees@newcastle.edu.au
