Professional development opportunities for staff in teaching and learning
About Education Development
Our Education Development team offers professional development opportunities for staff in teaching and learning. We support academic staff to provide innovative and engaging learning experiences in a changing and complex learning environment. The team provides workshops, training, and resources on all aspects of teaching and learning, including pedagogical and curriculum development.
Education Development Framework
Education Development offers a hands-on, skills-based approach to staff development, ensuring staff develop skills and output directly related to their academic and professional context. The team identifies areas for upskilling, aligning with the Academic Excellence program to support performance excellence and innovation.
We approach professional development through the Know/Show/Do/Discover framework, modelled off Miller’s Pyramid. This prioritises practice and output, putting knowledge into action.
