Teaching spaces technology
IT Services provide technical support for video conferencing, computing hardware and systems within all University teaching spaces. All enquiries re hardware or equipment should be directed through the IT Services Portal or via 49217000
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), through its Classroom Technology team, provide in-time hotline support and assistance within our learning environment,. CTL also provide support for Echo360 lecture capture.
Classroom technology support
The CTech team provides a range of services to support teaching and learning across all campuses at the University of Newcastle. Technical help and practical support for teaching technologies across our learning environment is available to all academics, faculties and schools.

Book a lecture capture recording
Echo360 lecture capture records your classes so you can provide students with access to the recording in Blackboard. Book your Echo360 lecture recording. View a list of venues with Echo360 recording capability.

Book a video conference
Videoconferencing is available between internal and external sites and between video-conference units and telephones. You must book the room separately. Booking your video conference is a two-step process.
Book the venue via the relevant booking process for the room.
Eg. Scientia Room Booking system, UNify (email), or by contacting the room owner.
Book the video conference – Please click here to request this service through the IT service portal. Video conference support is available please list your requirements in your request.
You will receive an email to confirm your booking.
If you need to cancel a scheduled booking, email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
