Delivering research with impact
We are committed to conducting research of global and local significance. We continue to build on our proven track record for delivering research with impact in the field of teacher education, education technologies, active living and learning, and leading learning for ethical and inclusive futures.
Our research in these areas are shaping the future of education policy and practices. Our School is home to four research pillars that encompass all staff. Two are the largest Research Centres of their kind in Australia:
- Teaching and Teacher Research Centre (TTRC), a recipient of one of the largest philanthropic grants in Australia
- Centre for Active Living and Learning (CALL), a recipient of large HMRI grants.
Supporting our teachers
Our other two pillars are leaders in the field of Education Technologies (simulation, emerging technologies in teacher education and schools, ethics) and Leading learning for ethical and inclusive practices (curriculum, pedagogy, learning and leadership).
Our research across these four pillars centre on policy and practices related to teaching and learning across the educational continuum (Early childhood, primary, secondary, Higher Education and tertiary). We are bold and delve into contemporary issues of significance and importance. We aim to shape and inform policy and practices in teacher education and education in general
We continue to build on our reputation for collaboration with fellow researchers, industry partners, international colleagues and other Colleges within the University to drive change and inspire new ways of thinking and develop mutually beneficial outcomes.
