Degree overview

Chemical engineering. Pure science, applied to real world problems

We train engineers capable of solving the greatest global challenges. You will apply the fundamental principles of physics and chemistry, and specialised disciplines such as bio and nanotechnology to key problems in our community. You will analyse and design processes, plants and control systems for productivity, safety and sustainability.

Career opportunities

Chemical engineers work in a wide range of industries. Roles are flexible and diverse. You may prefer hands-on fieldwork or design and development. Or you might prefer a leadership role managing people and projects.
