Sustain Me

Eating well at university shouldn't cost a fortune. Sustain Me is an initiative created specifically for students, providing affordable, nutritious, and sustainably produced meals.

Created in direct response to student feedback and funded through the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF), the program was designed to tackle rising cost-of-living pressures and make healthy food more accessible on campus.

What's on the menu?

Through partnerships with participating retailers, students can access popular favourites at significantly reduced prices. These offers give students access to affordable, convenient, and nutritious food choices across campus each week.

See below for some of the Semester 2 deals and participating retailers.

Making a real difference

Sustain Me isn't just helping students save money; it's making a meaningful impact across our campuses.

  • 30,000+ meals projected annually
  • 2,000+ meals served every week
  • $200,000+ in projected student savings
  • Supporting students through ongoing cost-of-living pressures.

The Sustain Me initiative is partially SSAF-funded. Thank you to all of our partners and sponsors for helping keep University of Newcastle students full throughout their studies.
