Your high school guide: explore, plan and make it happen
Year 10
Start exploring what’s possible
Not sure what comes after school? That's okay. Year 10 is the perfect time to explore your interests, discover what's possible and start thinking about where they could take you.
Start with what interests you
The things you enjoy now can help shape what comes next. Think about the subjects, hobbies or activities that make you curious or excited to learn more.
Try this: Write down three things you've enjoyed learning or doing this term. Do you notice any patterns? They could point you towards future study or career options.
Choose subjects that keep your options open
As you start thinking about Year 11 and 12, choose subjects that:
- Interest you
- Play to your strengths
- Keep you motivated
Already have a degree in mind? Our Year 10 Guide to University can help you understand which subjects are recommended. If you're still deciding, that's okay too.
Experience university for yourself
