Career-Ready Placements
Career-Ready Placements and Industry Placements

The School of Computer and Information Sciences provides companies with several ways for companies to offer placements for our students. Hands-on professional experience is vital to students' learning, and helps companies raise their profile among the university community. From a practical perspective, those placements allow companies to:

  • Select highly skilled, final-year students from our undergraduate programs to participate in company's activities;
  • Assign them to internal projects that require Computing and/or Mathematical skills to be completed, for between 120 hours and 360 hours, depending on the program and modality of placement;
  • Retain any intellectual property developed by students during their placement;
  • Have insurance covered by the University of Newcastle.

For more information please see the brochures below, which cover all the undergraduate programs offered by our School. More information about Career-Ready Placements in general can be found at the University's Career-Ready Placements webpage.
