        Building on Brownfield Sites
Under construction in 2024, the University's new Central Coast (Gosford) campus, located at 299-309 Mann Street, Gosford, is a prime example of building on a brownfield site. This location was previously occupied by the Mitre 10 hardware store and operates as a redevelopment of existing urban fabric.
The project is part of a broader collaboration with the NSW Government, the Hunter and Central Coast Development Corporation (HCCDC), and the Australian Government, aiming to revitalise the Gosford CBD.
The brownfield nature of the site helps minimise new land use, leverages existing utilities and transport infrastructure, and contributes to urban renewal. Public transport, nearby amenities, and the proximity to the train station are leveraged in the design and placement.
Gosford Campus
Our Gosford facilities offer two state-of-the-art facilities: the Central Coast Clinical School, and our vibrant new Mann St campus, opening for Semester 1, 2026.
Just a short walk from Gosford train station, our Mann Street campus is easy to access. The new campus is a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance education pathways and add to the ongoing revitalisation of Gosford city’s CBD.
Just a stones throw away from our Mann St campus, the Central Coast Clinical School is a nation-leading health, medicine and wellbeing teaching and education facility, operating alongside the Central Coast Research Institute. These facilities focus on integrated healthcare, medical education, research and innovation in addressing the health needs of the local population.
