Biannual Report for the NUW Alliance
NUW Alliance is pleased to share with you our first biannual report.

The report provides an update on key NUW Alliance initiatives. Importantly, it also features insightful pieces from thought-leaders across the NUW-network. Topics include highlighting the importance of a values-driven culture, critical areas that determine the success of alliances, dissecting the socio-technical challenges of transitioning to a just clean energy future and thoughts on realising and harnessing the power of alliances to amplify impact. The report seeks to give a future focussed window into these areas.
This year brings exciting opportunities to the Alliance, the shift to 'mega-region' approaches to planning and policy development in government, affords our collaboration a chance to actively disrupt and improve those processes on a 'grand' and integrated platform more closely aligned to the interests of our constituent communities across the Hunter, Greater Sydney and the Illawarra, in addition to pursuing state and nationally significant initiatives.
Collaborations can produce innovations that outpace regulatory, legislative and policy frameworks. Bumping up against those constraints has been a productive exercise for the NUW Alliance, requiring dynamism and agility not often associated with universities – a testament to our unwavering commitment on delivering impact. The NUW Alliance will continue to embrace collaborations with TAFE NSW, industry, and government, to accelerate and coordinate research, education and innovation.
We believe our diverse community and commitment to collaboration allows us the opportunity to address global challenges and to create positive change.
We do these things together - to bring purpose, create opportunities and to transform lives.
