Student Feedback Survey Results In

Thank you to everyone who completed the 2021 survey.

Nearly 9,000 students participated in the Student Feedback at the University of Newcastle survey this year, giving us valuable information on how we can improve your student experience.

Highlight Areas

Some of the areas of your uni experience you told us you are happiest with include:

  • your campus environment – 96% of students reported that your campus is well maintained and clean
  • safety on campus – 89% of students reported feeling safe while on campus
  • WiFi – 92% of students are happy with the Wi-Fi service on campus

We hear you!

The SFUN survey also gives us vital information about what you want out of your University experience. It tells us what matters most to students and that there are some priority areas you want improved. You want access to career opportunities, advice and industry experience outside of your formal courses. For on campus students, we hear that you want better coffee and food options across our campuses, with better value for money. You want to see events and parties return to campus. You need easy and reliable campus access as you juggle busy work/ study/ personal lived. And while most of you feel safe on campus, the results tell us that you don’t all feel safe in the suburbs around campus.

Rest assured we are working to improve all these points.

What happens now?

The survey results are critical for all areas at the University to improve services to our students. These results are passed on to each area responsible and are used to inform decision making for all service improvements. Watch this space as each area works through ideas to address your concerns and make sure you have an outstanding experience while studying at the University of Newcastle.
