COVID Safe check-in on our campuses
Our University will be implementing the Service NSW COVID Safe check-in system across all our campuses and venues in 2021.
With the start of Semester 1 underway, we want our campuses to continue to be vibrant, engaging spaces, and we can continue to support this under COVID-19 conditions.
Our University will be implementing the Service NSW COVID Safe check-in system across all our campuses and venues, and we encourage all students to use this system when entering buildings. This measure is not mandatory for students yet will greatly assist NSW Health with contact tracing if a COVID-19 event occurs on our campuses or within our regions.
Service NSW COVID Safe signage and QR Codes will be placed at multiple ‘check-in’ points across all University facilities. If you do not check-in upon entry to a building, you will find additional QR codes in other communal areas within that building to help you check-in with Service NSW. Our University of Newcastle Social Distancing Champions will also be on hand to help with the flow of people into buildings so that congestion at entry/exit points is reduced.
We encourage you to check-in by scanning the QR Codes for all buildings across our campuses throughout your day. All external, authorised visitors must use the Service NSW COVID Safe check-in system without exception.
Thank you for your support as we keep our campuses and community safe.
