New addition to Nustar
A major new component will be coming soon to the Student Records System Nustar.
The current Course Tracking System and Program Tracking Systems are being replaced by the Program and Course Management module built within Nustar. The new module is scheduled to come online at the end of November, 2014.
The new module will provide flexibility and reportability not available in the old systems. It will also provide a structure for course and program management with the capacity to change over time.
The enhancements include the recording and maintenance of Course Coordinator details. This information will flow through to a number of the University systems including Adverse Circumstances and Blackboard (OCM).
There will be no changes to information in the CTS from 14 November until the new approach comes on line within NUSTAR. This is to ensure that all data is migrated successfully from the CTS for go-live.
Course outlines will also be generated from the system. Training and support for professional and academic staff will be able commencing in December. The training will initially target those involved with Trimester 1 2015 courses in Singapore, Callaghan and Weblearn. To register for the training sessions go to HROnline for the full schedule. Training in the core system will also be available to professional staff and registration in the various sessions is also through HROnline.
Additional sessions will be added as classes fill up. Please check and register for the sessions relevant to your role.
The project team will provide regular updates and would like to thank all those who have assisted with the development and testing so far.
