NAIDOC week is from 3 - 10 July, and you're invited to learn, share and participate in the local celebrations that will mark this special week.

Under this year’s national theme; Songlines - The living narrative of our nation, diverse celebrations and activities will be held with pride around Australia - from the remote and regional communities to our urban and metropolitan centres.

Newcastle events:

Monday 4 July

Awabakal, Newcastle NAIDOC Day. Start 9am with flag raising at Christ Church Cathedral followed by the march to Newcastle Foreshore for the official opening at 10.15am.

Tuesday 5 July

Westlakes NAIDOC Week (Toronto). Starts at 11am at Toronto Foreshore.

Flag raising ceremony, Lake Macquarie Council Chambers 9am.

Friday 8 July

Healthy Black and Deadly NAIDOC Touch Football Day, Wallsend Touch Fields starts 8.30am

Film Screening “Putupari and the Rainmakers” Event Cinemas Newcastle. 6pm start. This is a free film night       organised by Wollotuka, Newcastle City Council and Newcastle Region Library. Book your ticket through the link on the flyer.

Central Coast events:

Monday 4 July

Central Coast Council NAIDOC Flag Raising and Celebration. 10am. Wyong Council Office

Wednesday 6 July

Family Fun Day, Baker Park Wyong

Friday 8 July

Golf Day at Wyong Golf Club
