Don’t lose valuable junk
One of the many benefits of UNify is enhanced junk mail filtering.
However Microsoft Outlook's filtering is so good at times it can place legitimate emails in your junk folder rather than your inbox.
To ensure you see all your legitimate emails there are a number of simple steps you can take.
- First of all, regularly check your Junk Mail folder for misplaced emails.
- Nominate senders as safe senders.
- Block unwanted senders.
- Ensure that your Outlook client is set to the recommended Junk Mail options.

IT Services has configured all University owned computers that are part of our managed fleet to ensure that any email sent from @newcastle.edu.au and @uon.edu.au accounts (ie UON staff and students) will be delivered to your Inbox and will not be filtered to the Junk folder.
