Grant awarded to investigate Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies in Schools
A/Prof Erica Southgate and her team have been funded by the Commonwealth Department of Education and Training to conduct the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emerging Technologies in School Project.
A/Prof Erica Southgate and her team have been funded by the Commonwealth Department of Education and Training to conduct the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emerging Technologies in School Project. The project involves reviewing the literature on AI and emerging technologies (AR, VR, MR) for teachers and developing recommendations for practice and future inquiry. The project includes mapping curriculum-aligned and professional learning resources against a quality checklist tool for teachers and a national consultation with experts. Classroom case studies on each technology will also be produced. The project is being conducted by an interdisciplinary team comprising: Lead chief investigator (CI) Erica Southgate, CI Karen Blackmore, CI Susan Grimes and CI Stephanie Pieschl.
